About the New Obama Administration
I, for one, never EVER believed in the charade manchurian candidacy of Barack Obama. I was gripped by a vision from the Holy Spirit last February 18th 2008. In the next 10 months millions of other web users took courage to post their misgivings and spiritual discomfort as well. But our numbers were not enough to offset the “youth koolaid trance” vote, and the US media helped to elect Barack Obama over the many other spiritual cries in the wilderness of American voices like my own.
What we actually have in the pretend “new” Obama administration is in fact not new at all. There has been no change. Every member of his cabinet, with few exceptions, has served in Washington before, and they are most all bonafied CFR members, and Bilderberg Group annual attendees. In my opinion Obama’s election represents a foreboding turning point in our nation, where the demographic scales have now been tipped such that the sheer numbers of internet literate (but politically and educationally somewhat illiterate) ipod generation now carry enough sway as a voting bloc to actually tilt a presidential election, without having the slightest comprehension of the consequences. The media was telling these young people that Obama was their new political Messiah. Magazine covers in obscene numbers, head shots, smiling head shots, lots of laughing, smiling cool looking head shots of Barack Obama. This man appeared on more illuminati media owned magazine covers, newspaper front pages, TV talking head sound bites, and video clips aired 24-7 than any presidential candidate in US history. And it was all by design, every bit of it, calculated and crafted years ago by illuminati media insiders. Watch the motion picture “Wag The Dog” made in 1997-98, to catch my drift here. They make motion pictures like to laugh at us, to mock our ignorance of what they do.
So the ipod kids bought it, lock stock, and barrel. McCain would have been no better. We were given two choices: one evil – or the other one. Sarah Palin was a hockey mom, small-town mayor and rising young Republican star in Alaska in 2003 when she ran afoul of her party's establishment as a whistleblower and was cast into the political wilderness.
But she came charging back as an ethics crusader to win the governor's office in 2006 (including a landslide primary victory over incumbent Republican governor Frank Murkowski) and has remained one of the most popular local politicians in America even as she continued to take on such powerful figures as the oil companies and the leaders of her own state party.
Palin, 44, has been the Joan of Arc of Alaska politics, marching into battle against long odds on such big local issues as oil taxes and construction of a natural gas pipeline only to see her opposition crumble. Days after her 2006 primary victory, an FBI investigation into political corruption involving the oil industry and Republican legislators burst into view with surprise raids of legislative offices. Criminal indictments and convictions followed, often just in time for the headlines to help her win another contest in Juneau.
Though fearless in choosing the outsider's path in politics, she remains relatively untested as a campaigner, a politician and as a governo. And even as she drew increasing attention nationally as a potential vice presidential nominee in recent months, she has come under withering criticism at home from business-minded Republicans who consider her a misguided populist and an intellectual lightweight.
Her criticism of congressional earmarks, for instance, seemed out-of-touch to Alaska political veterans who saw them as essential to getting money to a small-population state. But her rejection of Ketchikan's "Bridge to Nowhere" funding was one of the first thing's John McCain mentioned.
In one-on-one settings, Palin's relaxed, no-bull manner has contributed to her popularity in a state of 670,000 residents, where such contacts are not only possible but essential for political success. Voters here also warmed to the outlines of her all-Alaska biography.
She was born in Idaho and came to Alaska when she was 3 months old. She grew up in Wasilla, where her father, Chuck Heath, was a teacher and coach, her mother, Sally, a school secretary. One of her most formative experiences, she has said, was helping to lead her high school basketball team to the 1982 state championship. Palin played point guard and got the nickname from her teammates of Sarah Barracuda.
Palin went on to study journalism and political science in college, graduating from the University of Idaho in 1987. Along the way she competed in the Miss Alaska contest after being chosen Miss Wasilla 1984. In both contests, she played the flute and won the title of Miss Congeniality. As runner-up in the state contest, she lost to the first African-American Miss Alaska, Marilyne Blackburn.
She grew up hunting with her father, whose living room wall is densely populated with trophies and antlers. Her favorite meal, she said during her gubernatorial race, is moose meat stew after a day of snowmachining.
She eloped in 1988 with her high school sweetheart, Todd Palin, who expands the family biography considerably. He is a commercial fisherman, an oil field worker, a member of the United Steelworkers and an Alaska Native. Todd's grandmother grew up in a traditional Yup'ik Eskimo house in Bristol Bay and accompanied Sarah in her race for governor as she sought support from Alaska Native voters. Sarah Palin has joined her family in fishing a commercial setnet site on the Nushagak River in Bristol Bay every summer.
Todd Palin has worked 20 years on Alaska's North Slope for BP, where he has continued to work as a production operator. He is also a four-time winner of the Iron Dog, the 2,000-mile snowmachine race from Big Lake to Nome along the Iditarod Trail and then on to Fairbanks. Since Sarah was elected governor, Todd has remained in the background as a close political confidante and "First Dude," an expression his wife sometimes uses.
Sarah Palin made her way into local politics on the Wasilla City Council in 1992 and then ran for mayor as an agent of change. Though she established a reputation as a tax fighter, she actually increased the budget and spending on roads and sewers, reducing property taxes at the same time thanks to a huge increase in sales tax revenues coming to the booming commercial hub. She's had the same luck as governor -- a fiscal conservative in charge of a wealthy government, this time because of high oil prices.
BUILDING AN ETHICS BASE
Palin finished a strong second in the 2002 primary for lieutenant governor and was being groomed by the party for higher office when she clashed with state Republican Party chairman Randy Ruederich. They both had seats on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, appointed by Gov. Frank Murkowski, the Republican she would later depose. She accused Ruederich of misusing the job for political chicanery and eventually resigned in frustration. Ruederich was forced to resign the job as well, though he remains head of the state party.
Palin later took on Murkowski's attorney general in a conflict-of-interest scandal that forced his resignation. And when state Sen. Ben Stevens, the son of U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens, was caught making a dismissive remark about the Wasilla area, Palin appeared in a rebuttal ad wearing a "Valley Trash" T-shirt.
In 2006, she knocked off Murkowski and then Democratic former Gov. Tony Knowles in a campaign that drew on grassroots support, relying on neighbors and friends for staff rather than the party and veterans of big-time campaigns.
She had strong support from social conservatives and often speaks of her religious faith. The Palins have five children, including their first-born, Track, who enlisted in the Army on Sept. 11, 2007. Track Palin is 19 and stationed at Fort Wainwright with the Stryker Brigade, preparing for a deployment to Iraq in September. The Palins also have three daughters: Bristol, Willow and Piper.
The newest member of the family, a son, Trig, was born in April ago after a pregnancy that Palin managed to keep secret for seven months. Trig was born with Down syndrome, which the Palins had discovered through testing.
But as governor, she has not pushed any big-agenda items of social conservatives. She spoke favorably in her campaign of schools teaching the creationism debate with evolution, but lived up to her pledge to do nothing as governor to push the idea. Her first veto was of a bill that would have denied benefits to employees in same-sex relationships -- she said she supported the idea but accepted legal advice that it was unconstitutional.
Palin who has been Governor for just a few short yrs, has more executive experience than Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Joe Biden combined. Sen. Biden only accomplishment in the US Congress is that he has been Chairman of Foreign Affairs although he is one of the more senior Congressmen in the Washington.
As a candidate for governor in 2006, Palin humbled Murkowski in the Republican primary. A week later, the FBI raided the offices of several state lawmakers; the corruption scandal erupted in public as Palin's popularity was hitting heights rarely seen in Alaska or anywhere else.
Running as the outsider breath of fresh air, she charmed many voters and trounced former two-term Democratic Gov. Tony Knowles in the general election.
Her very first act as governor broke with decades of tradition. Palin took the oath of office in Fairbanks, far from the state's capital in Juneau. She was the first governor to do so.
The state has socked away $1 billion in an education fund for the next school year and education officials say another $1 billion is expected go into the fund this year for future use. More billions went into state savings as well, Palin said.
"We're more prepared than other states because of the prudence there," Palin said recently. "We crossed that first hurdle."
The state currently has $6.6 billion in its constitutional budget reserve fund that it could tap into. A few billion dollars more also is available from other pockets, said Juneau economist Gregg Erickson, a longtime Alaska budget watcher.
Alaska's first combat came after the invasion of Iraq in 2003, with hundreds of Alaskan Soldiers patrolling and staffing checkpoints near Baghdad, working as military advisers with the Mongolian Army in Iraq and as embedded trainers with the Afghan National Army in Afghanistan that are still deployed to the Middle East (ANG, 30 Aug 08). Back home, the Army National Guard with its 118 armories or the Alaskan Air National Guard that has dozens of Air Wings like the 176th Wing with 1,300 airman citizens are all under the command of Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin.
A local Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) public affairs representative in Los Angeles stated that elected government officials go through a security screening process but could not go into details as to the level of investigation or the security level given to any one official in particular.
The Los Angeles Times on September 6, 2008 reported that Governor Sarah Palin oversees military units whose duties include serving overseas as well as search-and-rescue (SAR) missions at Ft. Greely.
The LA Times article went on to say that the Alaska Air National Guard is 1,946 service member strong and has participated in several search-and-rescue missions. Since Palin's election in 2006 the Air Guard has flown 521 missions, saving 200 lives and assisting with the rescue of 77 more people.
Ft. Greely is located about 100 miles South East of Fairbanks, Alaska. In 1995 the base was slated for realignment by 2001 in but still remains open as a facility for Alaska National Guard, COLD REGIONS TEST CENTER (CRTC), Missle Defense Agency (MDA) and U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC).
The Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF) is a military police organization that was primarily created as a back up for the National Guard. According to their web site they work with primarily "State and local emergency management agencies in Homeland Security, disaster assistance, planning, exercises, and operations in response and recovery for both natural and man-made disasters."
The mission statement on their website states, "The Mission of the 49th Military Police Brigade is to maintain an organized and trained military force, capable of timely and effective response to State emergencies, or on occasions deemed appropriate by the Governor, to provide military assistance to civil and military authorities for Homeland Security and in the preservation of life, property, and public safety."
Governor Palin would only call upon them in case of an emergency.
SARAH PALIN'S SECURITY CLEARANCE
Before you dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin is Commander of the Alaska National Guard consider this.
Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It's on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.
As governor of Alaska, Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden's and certainly by far exceeds Obama's.She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counterterrorism plans.
Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska's proximity to Russia, she may have security clearances we don't even know about.According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February 2007, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets.
She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.
